 A while back I had blogged about the gorgeous eco-friendly letterpress cards found over in the sweetbeets etsy store. So much has changed with sweetbeets since that post! First off, in addition to the etsy store, Lisa (sweetbeets owner/artist/designer) has also launched her own retail site ( http://www.sweetbeets.com/) where you can also buy sweetbeets products (larger selection at the etsy store, so check both of them out!). There have also been some beautiful additions such as some new card prints, gorgeous counting art prints (seen in the image to the left), party invitations and gift tags. Lisa has been kind enough to offer you, a reader of the Nayla Natural Care blog, a 20% discount off your purchase at sweetbeets.com! Simply enter discount code nayla when checking out. Offer expires June 20th. A great chance to stock up on these gorgeous Canadian made eco-friendly stationary and art prints at a discounted price! And one of my favourite things, you will be supporting a fellow mompreneur :) Labels: eco-friendly blanket, Nayla's Friends, Sweetbeets
 Let's face it, we moms are extremely busy! So, for those of you living in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco or Los Angeles, there is an amazing solution that you can turn to when you just can't fit a visit to the grocery store into your already hectic day. spud!, a wonderful organic food delivery company delivers your groceries right to your home. Place your order online and they take care of the rest! How convenient is that? So what does spud! offer? Fresh organic produce, organic dairy, organic meats, vegan products, organic baked goods, delicious prepared foods to name only a few of their many offerings...and they are always adding new products. What I really like about spud! is what they stand for (taken from their about spud! page): - We protect the environment by buying local, organic, minimally packaged and eco-friendly products
- We build community by creating direct connections between our food suppliers and customers;
- We reduce the impacts of climate change by delivering groceries to each neighbourhood on a set route once a week;
- We educate our customers about important food issues through our weekly newsletter;
- We give back by supporting local charities and donating leftover food to food outreach groups.
spud! offers many ways for you to save, which is especially important in these times - each location has over 100 weekly specials, caselots discounts, multibuy offers, a wonderful referral program and contests. Also, customers can enjoy FREE delivery on most orders (assuming they meet a minimum which depends on location, usually around $35.

Nayla Natural Care was recently featured in the Ottawa edition of Savvy Mom and earned the distinction of being Savvy Mom approved! I have been a subscriber of Savvy Mom for quite a while now, so being interviewed by Andrea was fun and becoming approved is a great honor! So what exactly is Savvy Mom for those of you who do not know? Well, as described on the Savvy Mom website: "Savvy Mom is a trusted resource for time-crunched moms across Canada, delivering tried and tested practical solutions to your everyday dilemmas." Savvy Mom offers newsletters specifically geared towards particular cities, but if you do not see your city listed, just choose the "Anywhere" edition. This wonderful resource offers info on things to do in your town, recipes, tons of recommendations, product reviews, contests (and we all love contests!) This is just the tip of the iceberg! Sweetbeets
  Yesterday we posted about Etsy, the great online marketplace where you can find just about anything handmade by great artisans. Sweetbeets happens to be a wonderful store you can find on Etsy. Sweetbeets is owned and operated by Lisa Zuraw of Toronto. Each of her designs are her own sketches and are all inspired by watching her children play (the name Sweetbeets comes from the nickname her husband would call their boys, cute!) All Sweetbeets cards are made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper and are made here in Canada! A vintage printing press is used to create the great textures and designs. Sweetbeets cards are letterpress printed using vegetable-based inks. Check out the Sweetbeets Etsy store to see all of the wonderful designs and to shop by clicking here, or visit the Sweetbeets site to see if you can get these beautiful cards at a store in your city, by clicking here. As if she weren't busy enough, Zuraw also maintains a wonderful blog called Modeco Kids. She describes it as follows: "Modeco kids is your source for modern and eco-friendly products for babies and children. We bring you fresh finds to make your job easier. Discover new indie designers and mompreneurs. We love to feature gear for kids that’s handmade with organic, vintage and recycled or upcycled materials. You’ll also find articles of interest to independent retailers such as merchandising ideas, reports on kids trade shows and retailer spotlights." She is currently running a contest on the blog. What you need to do is suggest a store that you know of that would be a great fit for her cards and you will be entered to win $75 worth of Sweetbeets cards! Pretty easy! Check out the Modeco Kids Blog here: http://www.modecokids.com/. Labels: Etsy, Nayla's Friends, Sweetbeets

Ecochick
 "ecochick is cool, Canadian and environmentally friendly. We feature the coolest green products we can find that you'll want to buy." These are the words that ecochick uses to describe her blog, and it is all true! Ecochick is an Ottawa (our home town!) based blogger, we have been readers of her wonderful blog for quite a while and Nayla Natural Care was lucky enough to get a mention in it yesterday. Head on over to ecochick.ca and check out her post about us . While there, sign up for her newsletter, stay a while and read through her posts. She reviews some great products and shares wonderful finds all the time. This blog is fun, entertaining, well written and of course eco-friendly! Labels: Ecochick, Nayla Press, Nayla's Friends
