Make your own baby wipes
This one is an oldie, but a goodie! Recipes for baby wipes have been circulating on the net for quite a while, but I thought I would post my recipe in case some of you are new to the concept! I currently do this for my 1 year old and could not imagine having to go out and buy wipes again! Especially with some of the ingredients some of them contain!
Here is what you need:
1. Wipes - You can use some re-useable/washable washcloths or you can cut up a roll of biodegradeable paper towels. I use the kind that have the perforations where you can select what size you want your sheet to be. I then cut them in half.
2. Baby wash - Preferably a natural or organic one.
3. A few drops of lotion or oil (this is optional, I don't add this, but feel free to do so if your child has dry skin).
4. Water
Here is what you do:
1. In a container, wipe tub, whatever you can find that has a lid and can hold the wipes, mix about about a tablespoon and a half of baby wash.
2. If adding the oil or moisturizer, add a few drops.
3. Add about 1 1/2 cups of water
4. Mix
5. Put your cut up paper towels or washcloths into the contaner to soak until needed OR you can store the mixture in a spray bottle and spritz it onto the wipes before use, whichever way you like best!
You now have homemade baby wipes! This recipe is totally customizeable to your needs, experiment a bit!
